Director of Rehabilitation - Full-Time Shinnery Oak Community 711 W Broadway Street, Denver City, TX 79323 Join Our In-House Rehab Team Shinnery Oak Community is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Rehabilitation to lead our in-house rehabilitation program. This full-time leadership opportunity is ideal for a rehabilitation professional who is passionate about clinical excellence, team development, and delivering high-quality, resident-centered care. The Director of Rehabilitation will oversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department while supporting a collaborative interdisciplinary approach to resident care. Job Summary The Director of Rehabilitation is responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and day-to-day operations of the rehabilitation department. This position provides clinical and operational oversight to therapy services, supports staff development, ensures regulatory compliance, and promotes high-quality outcomes for residents. The Director works closely with therapists, nursing, physicians, administration, residents, families, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure effective and efficient delivery of rehabilitation services. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the in-house rehabilitation department Provide leadership, direction, and support to physical, occupational, and speech therapy staff Coordinate therapy schedules, staffing, productivity, and coverage needs Monitor quality of care, clinical outcomes, and resident progress Ensure therapy services are provided in accordance with physician orders, plans of care, and applicable regulations Collaborate with therapists and interdisciplinary team members to develop and achieve resident-centered goals Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions Monitor documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company and regulatory standards Support compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, state, and federal requirements Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, mentoring, and performance management of rehabilitation staff Promote strong communication and collaboration between rehabilitation and nursing departments Monitor department performance, productivity, and operational goals Identify opportunities to improve clinical outcomes, resident satisfaction, and departmental efficiency Maintain appropriate staffing levels and assist with coverage and scheduling as needed Support survey readiness and respond appropriately to regulatory and compliance requirements Maintain knowledge of current rehabilitation practices, regulations, and industry standards Qualifications & Skills Current professional therapy license or certification appropriate to the Director's clinical discipline Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related rehabilitation field preferred Previous rehabilitation leadership or management experience preferred SNF, subacute, or long-term care experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of rehabilitation practices and regulatory requirements Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to effectively manage staff and departmental operations Strong clinical documentation and compliance knowledge Experience with electronic medical record systems; Net Health preferred Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, staff, physicians, and facility leadership Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality, resident-centered care What We Offer Full-time leadership opportunity In-house rehabilitation program Supportive interdisciplinary work environment Opportunity to lead and develop a dedicated rehabilitation team Ability to make a meaningful impact on resident outcomes and quality of life Competitive compensation and benefits, as applicable Join Our Team If you are an experienced rehabilitation professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for improving resident outcomes, we invite you to apply for the Director of Rehabilitation position at Shinnery Oak Community.
