OTA or SLP Licensed in TX We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Rehab Director who is a licensed therapist to lead our rehabilitation services with passion and expertise in our skilled nursing facility, Irving Nursing and Rehabilitation in Irving TX. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of comprehensive rehabilitation programs within our facility. Your leadership will ensure that patients receive top-tier care tailored to their unique needs, fostering recovery and enhancing quality of life. Duties Lead and manage the rehabilitation department, ensuring compliance with all rehabilitation regulations and standards Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with clinical teams, focusing on physiotherapy, patient care, and functional recovery Supervise and mentor therapists, nurses, and support staff to promote professional growth and high-quality service delivery Oversee patient rehabilitation processes, including assessments of physiology, anatomy, and disability management Ensure adherence to safety protocols such as manual handling techniques, heavy lifting procedures, and basic life support (BLS) practices like CPR Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize rehabilitation outcomes for patients with visual impairments or other disabilities Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, clinical records, and compliance with rehabilitation regulations Stay current on industry best practices in rehabilitation medicine, acute care experience requirements, and long-term care standards Requirements Valid licensure as a licensed therapist (e.g., physical therapist, physical therapist assistant, occupational therapist, occupational therapy assistant or speech language pathologist) is mandatory - Pay scale is depending on discipline and years of experience. Proven experience working in skilled nursing facilities or rehabilitation centers with a focus on patient rehabilitation Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and rehabilitation regulations governing clinical practice Demonstrated leadership in clinical team management within a healthcare setting Hands-on experience with physiotherapy techniques and patient care strategies for individuals with disabilities or visual impairments Proficiency in heavy lifting and manual handling procedures necessary for patient mobility assistance Certification in CPR and basic life support (BLS) is required Prior experience in acute care environments or long-term care settings is highly desirable Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and with patients' families Join us to lead transformative rehabilitation programs that make a real difference!
