Requirements:
Minimum of 3 months to 1-year experiences in routine EEG, Ambulatory VEEC and Long-Term Monitoring American Heart Association Basic Lift Support (BLS) Specialized Training one year beyond HS - graduate from END school preferred, (minimum 5-year experience required if not an END gradate)
HS / GED
Certification from ABRET required with 18 months of hires (R.EEG.T) Be enrolled in accredited program for Neurodiagostics or apprenticeship program under
Nemours Responsibilities:
This is an apprenticeship opportunity and will require additional training during work hours Ability to learn and perform basic troubleshooting on EEG recordings such as replacing faulty electrode. Able to be trained in EPIC functions in relation to EEG lab Prepare rooms for EEG procedure Take vitals and dietary orders when needed Additional duties and responsibilities within the EEG lab, as may be assigned on occasion by associate's supervisor or lead tech. Educates the patient and family regarding their stay in the unit, interacting according to patient's' level of understanding Good communication with other EEG techs and Manager to ask for help and express comfort levels of the job .
Scheduled:
7 day a week schedule - 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

This person will also hook up routine EEGs under the supervision of a Registered EEG Tech. This is a position for students of an accredited EEG program ABRET recognized program, or currently enrolled in the Nemours Apprenticeship Program.
