Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated EMG/EEG Technician to join our neurodiagnostic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in neurophysiological testing, including electromyography (EMG) and electroencephalography (EEG), with a focus on providing precise diagnostic evaluations in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. As an EMG/EEG Technician, you will be responsible for performing specialized neurodiagnostic procedures, monitoring neurological function, and supporting clinical teams in the assessment of neurological conditions. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to critical patient care within a comprehensive healthcare setting. Responsibilities Perform electrophysiology testing, including EEG and EMG procedures, ensuring accurate data collection and adherence to established protocols. Operate and maintain specialized neurological devices and equipment with precision, ensuring optimal functionality and safety. Monitor vital signs and patient status throughout testing procedures, maintaining patient comfort and safety at all times. Interpret preliminary data from neurodiagnostic tests to assist neurologists in diagnostic evaluation and treatment planning. Apply aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and maintain a sterile environment. Assist in the setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of neurodiagnostic equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Document test results thoroughly, prepare detailed reports for review by neurologists, and participate in multidisciplinary case discussions. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and neurological diagnostics to enhance test accuracy and patient care quality. Experience Prior experience performing electroencephalography (EEG) and electromyography (EMG) within a clinical or hospital setting is recommended but not required. Demonstrated proficiency with neurodiagnostic testing protocols. Experience working within neurocritical care units or emergency medicine environments is highly advantageous. Familiarity with neurological devices, patient monitoring systems, and electrophysiology monitoring techniques is essential. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy relevant to neurology, and diagnostic test interpretation enhances clinical effectiveness. Proven ability to operate medical equipment safely while adhering to aseptic techniques is critical for success in this role. Salary will be based on experience to be discussed at interview.
