VEMS is looking for self-starting, committed individuals who would be at home in a smaller organization whose sole purpose is to serve the community.

Qualifications:

An open and willing attitude. One who is receptive to assistance, suggestions, assigned projects, and who understands the importance of community relations and high morale among staff Self-starting, goal-oriented individual with ability to set a high standard and deliver on it A willingness to share the importance of a positive attitude with other staff Valid and current State of Connecticut Drivers License Valid and current Emergency Medical Technician Certification Valid and current Healthcare Provider BLS certification Physical ability required for the lifting and moving patients, equipment and other tasks inherent to the job of emergency medical technician Must have minimum 2 years field experience and be at least 21 years old.

Duties:

Provide exceptional clinical care in the pre-hospital environment Respond as required/directed. Complete high quality and thorough clinical documentation Complete thorough and accurate billing documentation Conduct themselves in a manner that is compliant with all relevant regulations, statutes ordinances and laws Conduct themselves in respectful, professional manner that is representative of high moral standing and character in all dealing with the public and other staff Ensure proper working order of their equipment and vehicle.
