Current Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) registered with the Minnesota Emergency Medical Service Regulatory Board. Valid MN Driver's License, current insurance or be insurable.

Summary:

To adequately staff the ambulance service with certified Emergency Medical Technicians and Emergency Medical Responders to provide 24-hour medical services.

Education Requirements and Experience:

Current Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) registered with the Minnesota Emergency Medical Service Regulatory Board. Hold current certification or documentation in a Department of Transportation approved Emergency Vehicle Operators course or obtain immediately upon hire.

Additional Qualifications and Skills:

Good oral and written communication skills and customer service skills. Pre-employment drug testing is mandatory for all Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe positions.

None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Adhere to ambulance policies, procedures, standing orders and protocols. Responsible for; maintaining ambulance unit's cleanliness, restocking of equipment. Maintaining work/office space as assigned. Completing documentation for all ambulance calls, and gathering insurance information and HIPPA privacy information on each patient. Attend and or conduct all mandatory meetings and trainings as required. Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics at all times. Travel in and out of the state on a possibly regular basis. Understanding and sensitivity to Native American culture. Adhere to policies governing staff conduct. All other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Must be in good physical condition. Must have good color vision and eyesight (corrective lenses acceptable). Must be in good mental health. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 100 pounds. Subject to sedentary work. Subject to internal and external. Non smoking environment.

Compensation:

$18.00
