POSITION PURPOSE
The Unit Care Specialist position works alongside physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers to deliver safe, efficient and patient-centered care. This role is essential to ensuring the highest level of patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This position offers an opportunity for growth and training in a supportive team setting. MINIMUM MANDATORY
qualifications
Experience:
No previous experience required.
Education:
High school diploma or High School Equivalency Test (HSE) required.
Mandatory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and team building skills. Excellent telephone communication skills with strong customer service ability. Strong oral and written communication skills in dealing with a variety of individuals. Strong skill set with various computer and telecommunication devices. A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous and current employers. Basic Life Support (BLS) within six (6) months of hire. Annual hospital-wide competencies and compliance education as assigned. Preferred qualifications Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Basic level, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.
