Every Sunday | 24-hour shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM) Surfside Beach EMS is seeking a motivated EMT, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic to fill a consistent part-time 24-hour Sunday shift . This position also offers opportunities to pick up additional hours and seasonal assignments, making it ideal for providers looking for flexibility while working in a progressive 911 EMS system.
Pay Rates EMT:
$17.50/hour Advanced EMT (AEMT): $19.00/hour
Paramedic:
$20.00/hour About Surfside Beach EMS Surfside Beach EMS operates a modern, progressive 911 EMS service with strong medical direction and supportive leadership. Providers are equipped with advanced technology and empowered by evidence-based protocols to deliver high-quality patient care in a coastal community setting. Equipment & Technology Lifepak 15 cardiac monitors LUCAS 3 mechanical CPR device ESO electronic patient care reporting Modern ambulances and equipment Progressive, evidence-based protocols Job Responsibilities Respond to 911 emergency and non-emergency medical calls Provide patient care within scope of practice and approved protocols Accurately document patient care using ESO Operate EMS vehicles and equipment safely Maintain professionalism with patients, families, and partner agencies Complete station duties, equipment checks, and readiness activities Additional Work Opportunities Ability to pick up additional EMS shifts as they become available Opportunity to staff the Beach Medic Unit (summer months), providing EMS coverage on the beach using the department's EMS side-by-side unit Opportunity to work in the Medical / First Aid Tent during peak summer season and special events Minimum Qualifications Current Texas EMT, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic certification Current BLS/CPR certification ACLS and PALS required for AEMT and Paramedic (preferred for EMT) Valid Texas driver's license Ability to pass background check and drug screening Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills Preferred Qualifications Prior 911 EMS experience Familiarity with ESO or other ePCR systems Strong clinical judgment and situational awareness Positive attitude and community-focused mindset Why Work for Surfside Beach EMS?
