Job Description

ER Tech/Emergency Room - Part Time (56 Hours Per Pay Period), Night Shift (10:45pm - 7:15am)

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the department supervisor, the emergency department technician is responsible for assisting the nursing personnel by performing clerical and related duties at the department level. These related duties include performing EKGs, insertion of straight catheter for the purposes of obtaining urine specimens, providing assistance to professional nursing staff, assisting in the transport of patients, and other duties as assigned.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; Medical Terminology; Computer Skills - all required.

Experience:

Prior experience in physicians' office, acute care, urgent care, or emergency department - preferred. Licenses and/or

Certifications:

EMT I License, Medical Assistant Certificate, or C.N.A. certification required American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BCLS required.

Other:

Spanish language skills preferred. Night Shift 0.7
