Full-Time Carthage, Illinois Posted 1 day ago 17.50/hour - $20.50/hour Position Summary The Emergency Department Technician is a high school graduate and an EMT B or ER Tech with 1 year experience who assists the Registered Nurse and Physician by performing direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Must have excellent judgment and be able to prioritize decisions and act quickly in the best interest of the patient. Must be self-disciplined, able to develop patient rapport, interview hostile patients, and recognize and utilize communication unique to diverse multicultural groups and ages with those groups. Works closely with the professional team, patients, families, and ancillary personnel. This position falls under the technician - clinical role with primary nursing service subcategory. Access to information is limited to minimum necessary to perform the duties of the job.

Wage Range:

$17.50/hour - $20.50/hour (Actual wage based on relevant experience) Required Qualifications High School Graduate or equivalent certificate. At least 18 years old Minimum 1 year of experience as an ER Tech, CNA, or equivalent. Current Illinois Driver's License with at least one year's driving experience.
