Certified Nursing Assistants:
0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,500 (full time) 1+ years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time) Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Summary:
The Emergency Department Technician II role assists the healthcare team in organizing and implementing basic department activities such as stocking, results retrieval and patient tracking. Under the guidance of the registered nurse, this role will perform patient care such as vital signs, pulse oximetry, EKG, phlebotomy and other simple procedures. Orients new team members and students and provides educational offerings in unit. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education:
High school graduate or GED preferred.
License/Certifications:
EMT-Advanced, EMT-Basic, Medical Assistant, or CNA certification required. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
Experience:
Six (6)+ months of experience as an Emergency Department Technician. The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package. The pay range for this position is $21.09 to $27.12 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
