Responsibilities:

Guides or coordinates shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associates. Serves as a technical or functional resource and performs similar duties with staff. Assigns, monitors and reviews progress of work. Observes and reports compliance with policies and/or procedures. Oversees and evaluates orientation and training of assigned associates. May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance.

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Associate complies with the following organizational requirements: Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared. Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes. Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes. Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year. Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department. Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self. Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance. Complies with established organization and department policies. Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.

Registration:

Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following: Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Paramedic credentialed from the Michigan Emergency Medical Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Preferred Credential(s): Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
