EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN
to join our
EMERGENCY ROOM
team! The Emergency Services Technician (EMT) - will perform certain functions in the Emergency Department within their scope of practice and hospital policy for patients of all age groups (infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric). The EMT will document all procedures, observations and/or patient care performed in the Emergency Department in the patient record. In addition, the EMT will maintain communication with other providers and assist the patient care team in providing service to the customer.
HOURS :
Full Time or .9 FTE, 72 hours every pay period, 12-hour rotating shifts, every 3 rd weekend, holiday rotation
Experience/Qualifications:
Knowledge of emergent patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous applicable experience beneficial. Possesses an active Wisconsin EMT license. Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
