- Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Endoscopy Technician to join our dynamic Surgery Center team.
In this vital role, you will support endoscopic procedures by preparing equipment, assisting physicians, and ensuring patient safety throughout the diagnostic and therapeutic processes. Your expertise will help facilitate smooth, efficient, and high-quality endoscopy services, contributing to accurate diagnoses and effective treatments. Duties Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies, gastroscopies, and other GI interventions by providing necessary instruments and support Ensure aseptic technique is maintained throughout all procedures to prevent infection and promote patient safety Support patient care by positioning patients correctly, monitoring vital signs, and providing comfort before, during, and after procedures Manage medical imaging documentation and ensure accurate recording of procedural details for diagnostic evaluation Maintain a thorough understanding of gastrointestinal anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to assist effectively during procedures Follow all safety protocols related to endoscopic surgical techniques, infection control, and equipment handling to uphold the highest standards of quality Requirements Proven experience as an Endoscopy Technician or similar role within a surgical or outpatient setting, with a focus on gastroenterology procedures Knowledge of endoscopic surgical techniques, including colonoscopy assistance and endoscope reprocessing procedures Strong understanding of anatomy related to the gastrointestinal system and physiology principles relevant to endoscopic procedures Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to supporting patients through their procedures Ability to operate technical medical equipment confidently and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently Familiarity with medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation processes, and infection prevention practices What We Offer Monday-Friday schedule No weekends No holidays No overnight call Competitive pay based on experience Paid Time Off Supportive team environment Opportunity to work with experienced GI physicians in a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is an experienced Endoscopy Technician who takes pride in providing outstanding patient care, works well as part of a collaborative team, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and quality in every procedure.
