Fitness Director Position Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Corrective Exercise Specialist to join our Fitness & Wellness team. This role focuses on assessing movement patterns, identifying muscular imbalances, and designing targeted exercise programs to help members move better, reduce pain, and improve overall functional performance. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a client-centered approach, and a solid understanding of biomechanics and corrective strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate posture, movement quality, mobility, and stability. Develop individualized corrective exercise programs based on assessment findings. Coach clients through proper form, technique, and progression to ensure safe and effective sessions. Collaborate with personal trainers, group instructors, and the Fitness Director to support member needs and program development. Educate clients on body awareness, injury prevention, and long-term wellness strategies. Track client progress and adjust programs as needed to support continuous improvement. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming training environment. Attend team meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications:
Certification from NASM, ACE, ACSM, CSCS, or equivalent , with a specialty or concentration in corrective exercise . Background in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Personal Training, or related field preferred Strong understanding of functional movement, anatomy, and corrective programming. Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with movement limitations, postural issues, or chronic discomfort. Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills. CPR/AED certification (required or obtained upon hire).
