Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Exercise Physiologist - Therapy Tech to join our Inpatient rehabilitation team at our SNF/LTC Facility at Tucker Rehabilitation and Wellness in this role, you will play a vital part in designing and implementing personalized exercise programs that promote recovery, improve cardiovascular health, and enhance overall patient well-being. You will work closely with patients across diverse backgrounds, providing expert guidance and support to help them achieve their health goals. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, body mechanics, and functional capacity evaluations to inform care plans. Assist licensed exercise physiologists and healthcare providers in developing tailored therapy programs focused on cardiology, physiology, and overall health improvement. Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions by tracking vital signs, EKG readings, and other relevant data to ensure safety and effectiveness. Educate patients on proper body mechanics, medical terminology, and health coaching strategies to empower them in their recovery journey. Support the implementation of care plans using electronic health record systems such as Epic, documenting patient interactions accurately and efficiently. Provide exceptional patient service by fostering a motivating environment that encourages engagement and adherence to prescribed exercises. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outpatient care delivery and ensure seamless patient experiences. Requirements Knowledge of cardiology principles, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology essential for effective patient assessment and monitoring. Experience with patient care in outpatient settings, including body mechanics training and health coaching techniques. Ability to perform patient assessments involving vital signs, EKG interpretation, and body mechanics evaluation. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as PCC for documentation of care plans and patient interactions. Strong understanding of exercise physiology concepts related to cardiac rehabilitation and general fitness. Excellent communication skills for educating patients on health topics and providing compassionate support throughout their recovery process.
