Job Description

Regular, Full-Time position under the Healthy Lifestyles Department |
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm with potential for evenings and/or weekends during departmental events |
Pay:
Hourly, starting between $23-$24 per hour Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Healthy Lifestyle Specialist promotes and conducts programs to provide participants with guidance on a healthy lifestyle. You will report to the Wellness Coordinator.
Primary Tasks:
Coordinate and implement exercise and group fitness programs for a variety of populations including active aging and youth. Enter participants into database, monitor and record event participation and enrollment for the P.A.C.E program. Screen individual's medical and current health status to identify major health risk factors. Service as the primary race timer using the Jaguar Lite Race Timing System for run and walk events hosted by the Healthy Lifestyles department. Administer biometric test and counsel individuals on results from In-Body 270 Body Composition Analyzer and the use of exercise equipment. Conduct physical activities within the Choctaw Nation such as employee tournaments, fitness challenges, youth camps, school wellness programs, educational events, and health fairs. Travel to different areas for events and programs, including those held on weekends and evenings. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent Current fitness or exercise certification such as Personal Trainer or Physical Fitness Specialist from an accredited institution within 6 months. Competence in operating Jaguar Timing system within 12 months Youth fitness or motivational interviewing certification within 12 months
