Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our family-centered healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will support individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges, from developmental disabilities to trauma and grief. You will conduct assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapies in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Responsibilities Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Provide individual, group, family, and crisis intervention counseling tailored to the unique needs of each client. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster motivation for change and enhance treatment engagement. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management strategies, ensuring safety and stabilization for clients experiencing acute distress or trauma. Maintain detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Conduct intake assessments for new clients, ensuring thorough understanding of client history and presenting issues. Engage in clinical research activities when applicable to stay current with emerging best practices in mental health treatment. Skills Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and behavior management strategies. Strong working knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation. Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), geriatrics, or patients with chronic pain conditions. Skilled in crisis intervention and crisis management to handle emergency situations effectively. Familiarity with telehealth platforms for remote patient care delivery. Ability to conduct patient assessments using medical terminology while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards. Excellent case management skills to coordinate services across multiple providers and support systems. Knowledge of special education needs when working with pediatric populations or individuals with disabilities. Experience in outpatient or inpatient clinical settings within behavioral health or mental health clinics is preferred. $20,000.00 - $103,746.94 per year
