Behavior Interventionist Position Hiring for afternoon positions Monday-Friday; 12pm-6:30pm

La Puente Main Description:
Behavior interventionists are the front line of ABA services. They provide direct ABA therapy to clients with developmental disorders such as autism. Their duties are to implement programs developed by the BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) and/or the master level supervisor. During ABA sessions Behavior Interventionist will be responsible for conducting 1:1 sessions and is responsible for supporting clients with increasing compliance and redirecting maladaptive behaviors such as tantrum, aggression, property destruction, and elopement. The behavior interventionist is supervised by a Master's Level's supervisor and/or directly by BCBA, and will be receiving ongoing training on the implementation of the client's program. Duties include but are not limited to: Implementing ABA teaching strategies such as Discrete Trial Training and Pivotal Response Teaching Implement behavior modification strategies and follow behavior intervention plans that have been developed by clinical supervisor. Implement ABA strategies to improve communication. Implement ABA strategies to improve self-help skills such as dressing, grooming, and feeding. Implement ABA strategies to improve community skills, social skills, play skills, and safety skills. Collect electronic data on goals for every session. Use and implement any visuals such as token boards, visual schedules, and visual cues designed by a BCBA. Communicate with the scheduling department if sessions are cancelled at the door, or if sessions end early. BI's will be expected to participate and lead game boards, pretend play, outdoor play, and play with playdoh, coloring, writing, playing with toy figures, toy cars, toy dolls, etc, depending on the client's age and client's developmental level. BI's may be expected to lead/participate in singing nursery songs with young age children. BI's may be expected to lead toilet training programs developed by BCBA's. However, BI's are not permitted to wipe or change client's diapers. •Please keep in mind that description of duties may at any point change based on the needs of each individual client.
