Hyperion Behavioral Health Center specializes in the diagnosis and support of children, adolescents, and adults with autism spectrum disorder. We provide evidence-based interventions in order to decrease challenging behavior and strengthen language, social skills, and self-management. WHO YOU ARE
Qualifications (Required) Experience and passion for working with children and/or teens Positive & effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills BA or current student in psychology, child development, education or related field Ability to work at least 12 hours per week during peak session times of 3:00-6:00 Willingness & ability to commute to clients' homes within specified geographic region Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable auto transportation Ability to pass TB test and DOJ background check Qualifications (Preferred) Experience with children with autism Experience with children with speech delays Experience with children with challenging behavior Experience with Zoom or similar digital platforms Comfortable with current technology, tablet use, practice management software Coursework in ABA Applied Behavior Analysis Technician (ABAT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Responsibilities Deliver direct applied behavior analysis (ABA) intervention to children with autism and related disorders in home and/or school setting Utilize ABA to teach communication skills, social skills, play skills, and adaptive skills Implement behavior intervention plans Follow teaching protocols and data collection methods Participate in clinical meetings to discuss client progress Provide support and education to families Behavior therapists are supervised by a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA)
