In this role, you will provide evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals across diverse age groups,. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health and substance use challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve personal growth. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify client needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-specific interventions, art therapy, play therapy, and motivational interviewing. Implement behavioral health strategies including applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and crisis intervention to support clients with developmental disabilities or trauma histories. Collect and maintain accurate clinical documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines; manage medical records with precision. Engage in case management activities such as intake assessments, treatment planning, progress monitoring, and coordination with other healthcare providers or community resources. Work collaboratively with families and caregivers to foster a supportive environment for client growth while respecting cultural diversity counseling principles. Experience Proven experience working with children, youth, or adults in mental health or behavioral health settings. Demonstrated expertise in home & community care environments is highly desirable. Strong background in addiction counseling, trauma-specific interventions, crisis management, and conflict resolution. Familiarity with medical terminology, clinical documentation standards, and working within HIPAA compliance frameworks. Experience conducting mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or applied behavior analysis (ABA). Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds while providing culturally sensitive counseling services. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is preferred.
