Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Marriage and Family Therapist to join our dedicated mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families, fostering healthier relationships and improved mental well-being. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex emotional challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve personal growth within a supportive environment. Duties Conduct thorough intake assessments and develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and healthcare diagnosis protocols such as ICD-10 and ICD-9. Deliver individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing diverse therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and family therapy. Implement counseling interventions tailored to client needs, including motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, trauma-informed care (PTSD), and addiction counseling. Engage in case management activities such as patient assessment, data collection, progress tracking, and maintaining accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Facilitate telehealth sessions to expand access to mental health services while ensuring confidentiality and adherence to clinical ethical guidelines. Requirements Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution. Valid licensure or certification as a Marriage and Family Therapist or equivalent in the applicable state or region. Proven experience working with children, families, couples, and individuals facing mental health challenges or developmental disabilities. Strong skills in crisis management, crisis intervention, behavioral management, and trauma-informed care. Proficiency in clinical documentation standards, medical terminology, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and medical records management. Experience with evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and family therapy techniques. Familiarity with telehealth platforms, HIPAA compliance requirements, and clinical ethical guidelines for patient confidentiality. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to engage clients effectively across individual and group counseling settings. Knowledge of special education needs related to pediatrics or individuals with disabilities is a plus. $50,089.78 - $85,323.18 per year
