Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Adolescent Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health assessments, evidence-based therapies, and crisis interventions tailored specifically for adolescents. Your expertise will help young individuals navigate emotional challenges, develop resilience, and achieve their full potential within a supportive and culturally sensitive environment. Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations for adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioral, or developmental challenges Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-specific interventions, play therapy, art therapy, and applied behavior analysis Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions to address mental health conditions, trauma, addiction issues, gender identity concerns, and developmental disabilities Engage in case management activities including intake procedures, treatment planning, progress documentation, and medical record maintenance in compliance with HIPAA and clinical ethical guidelines Collaborate with families, schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations to coordinate care and support positive outcomes Utilize data collection methods to monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly Respond effectively to crisis situations through crisis management techniques and crisis intervention protocols while ensuring client safety Skills Extensive experience working with children and adolescents with diverse mental health conditions including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, developmental disabilities, and trauma-related disorders Proficiency in behavioral health techniques such as behavioral therapy, social work practices, motivational interviewing, conflict management, and gender issues counseling Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical documentation standards, medical records management, and working within HIPAA regulations Skilled in conducting mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluations, case management, and client communication across cultural backgrounds Ability to implement evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), art therapy, play therapy, and crisis management strategies Experience working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds with sensitivity to cultural diversity counseling needs Competence in crisis intervention techniques for acute behavioral or mental health emergencies involving youth or families Excellent interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with clients' families while maintaining professional boundaries Familiarity with medical documentation systems and working within clinical ethical guidelines for patient care Qualifications
