Job Description

Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) - Residential Treatment Program Barbourville, KY | Full-time | Mon-Fri Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of at-risk youth? Appalachian Children's Home is seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our dedicated team providing therapeutic services in a residential setting. We work with boys and girls ages 11-18 who are overcoming trauma, behavioral challenges, and emotional health issues. What You'll Do As a QMHP, you'll play a key role in the development and implementation of treatment plans. Under the supervision of our Treatment Director, you'll deliver a combination of individual, group, and family therapy to residents (ages 11-17) on your caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct clinical assessments (CANS, SASSI, DSM-V, etc.) Develop and manage individualized treatment plans Provide weekly individual and group therapy Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings Manage documentation, reports, and clinical notes in a timely and confidential manner Assist with crisis evaluations and transition planning Maintain compliance with licensure and professional ethical standards Participate in an on-call rotation for 24/7 crisis support Qualifications Master's degree in a human services field Licensed or working under supervision in Kentucky as one of the following: CSW, LCSW, LPCA, LPCC, LMFT, LPA, Licensed Art Therapist, or Licensed Behavior Analyst Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills Experience working with adolescents and multidisciplinary teams Commitment to ethical practice and confidentiality Pass criminal background check and drug screen Why Join Us?
