Available Help for . Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Student Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain free hands-on supervision of fieldwork hours from a BCBA who specializes in Verbal Behavior. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in Verbal Behavior and researching evidence-based practices concerning various forms of functional communication training and challenging behaviors such as echolalia. This position is designed for students looking to sharpen their academic knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis with a strong desire and motivation to compile visuals of basic ABA principles for client interaction. Duties As a Student Intern, you will be responsible for assisting our team with various tasks, including but not limited to: Reviewing and summarizing Journal Articles for ABA intervention Compiling PowerPoint presentations of basic ABA principles Compile study overview of new 6th edition BACB Task list Conducting data collection and maintaining accurate medical records Supporting diagnostic evaluations under supervision Gain hands on experience with administering ABA assessments and FBA's Assist in compiling Behavior Intervention Plans Virtually Engage with parents and provide hands on ABA learning sessions Assisting in behavioral therapy sessions and implementing treatment plans Virtually serving children and individuals with developmental disabilities to promote their well-being Documenting patient care activities and observations accurately Collaborating with staff to ensure high-quality care and support for patients Experience To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and experiences: Enrolled in accredited ABA academic program Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable In need of Supervised Fieldwork hours from BCBA Strong interest in Verbal behavior and Functional Communication Training Understanding of basic ABA principles Organized with structured Supervision Log for reporting to BACB Understanding of BACB supervision contract requirements Ability to perform data collection effectively and maintain confidentiality of medical records A strong willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic healthcare environment This internship is an excellent opportunity for students looking to gain real hands on experience by shadowing and directly assisting a BCBA with serving clients directly.
