Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing patient care, particularly for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role requires a strong understanding of therapeutic practices, including group therapy and conflict management, as well as the ability to conduct thorough patient assessments. Our focus is on fostering a supportive environment that promotes healing and personal growth. Responsibilities Provide individualized therapy sessions to clients, focusing on their unique needs and goals. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans. Facilitate group therapy sessions, encouraging participation and engagement among clients. Utilize conflict management techniques to address and resolve issues that may arise during therapy. Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers and special education staff, to ensure holistic care for clients. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes. Stay informed about medical terminology relevant to the field of therapy and patient care. Incorporate Christian counseling principles when appropriate, respecting the diverse beliefs of clients. Qualifications Proven experience in patient care, particularly with individuals who have developmental disabilities. Background in social work or special education is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and therapeutic techniques such as group therapy. Strong skills in conflict management and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping others. Ability to conduct thorough patient assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.
