Description Position Overview Green Leaf Psychotherapy Services is actively seeking a Full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dedicated and culturally diverse team. This role is pivotal in providing compassionate mental health care remotely, from an outpatient office setting in Mesquite, Texas. Work Environment This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of your own home while maintaining a balance between work and personal life. While most sessions will occur remotely, you'll occasionally engage with colleagues in the outpatient office in Mesquite for collaborative sessions and team-building activities, ensuring you remain integrated within our professional community. Our work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, allowing some flexibility in scheduling to accommodate patients' needs. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that respect cultural differences and are tailored to the individual experiences of patients. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help clients navigate their mental health challenges. Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions, encouraging open dialogue and fostering a safe space for patients to express their feelings and concerns. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure that each patient receives well-rounded and thorough care. Offer crisis intervention support during emergencies, utilizing your training and calm demeanor to guide patients through difficult moments. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment plans, and available community resources. Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of all patient interactions, following legal and ethical standards. Engage actively in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions focused on cultural competence and ongoing professional development. Keep abreast of the latest research and best practices in the mental health field to continuously enhance the quality of care provided. Patient Population / Client Focus You will play a key role in serving a diverse patient population, including individuals from various ethnic backgrounds, those within LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant clients seeking support. Your ability to understand and incorporate patients' cultural contexts into their care plans will be critical in building trust and delivering effective treatment. Qualifications Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of Texas. Demonstrated understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches. Proven experience in delivering individual and group therapy with a culturally responsive approach. Exceptional crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a knack for building rapport with individuals from various backgrounds. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant software applications. A strong commitment to professional ethics, patient confidentiality, and maintaining professional boundaries. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing positively to workplace dynamics. Preferred Experience Prior experience in community mental health settings, particularly with diverse populations. Familiarity with best practices for teletherapy and remote patient engagement. Continuing education credits focusing on cultural competence and mental health interventions. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this position ranges from
USD 70,000
to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
