This position offers a unique opportunity to help build a growing statewide institute while working closely with patients, genetic counselors, and a board-certified medical geneticist. This role offers opportunities for growth as Hoʻoilina Genomics Institute expands, including increasing responsibility in clinic operations, patient experience, and organizational development. Responsibilities Coordinate patient referrals, scheduling, and intake. Assist with obtaining medical records, insurance information, and prior genetic testing results. Prepare charts and support clinic workflow before and after patient visits. Communicate professionally with patients, families, healthcare providers, and laboratories. Support telehealth and periodic in-person clinics. Assist with administrative projects, workflow development, and quality improvement initiatives. Contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered clinical environment. Qualifications Required Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience) Excellent organizational and communication skills Strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities independently Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care Proficiency with computers and electronic health records Preferred Experience in healthcare, genetics, genetic counseling, or medical administration Experience with telehealth Interest in healthcare operations and program development At Hoʻoilina Genomics Institute, we're building more than a clinical practice—we're building a lasting resource for Hawaiʻi's families and future generations.
