Behavioral Health Wellness CoachHelp Adults Improve Their Physical and Mental Well-Being Through Fitness, Wellness, and Recovery Are you passionate about fitness, movement, wellness, and helping others improve their quality of life? Monarch Competency is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Wellness Coach to lead engaging fitness, recreation, and wellness programming for adults participating in our structured behavioral health program. This is more than a traditional fitness or personal training position. You'll combine exercise leadership, wellness coaching, motivational support, and therapeutic engagement to help individuals build confidence, healthy routines, and lasting recovery while working alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary treatment team. Compensation & Benefits Pay:
$25.00-$28.00 per hour Benefits include: Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays 401(k) What You'll Do Lead structured fitness, recreation, and wellness groups in a behavioral health setting. Guide clients through strength training, cardio, stretching, yoga, basketball, movement-based activities, and wellness programming. Encourage participation through positive motivation, relationship building, and individualized support. Adapt activities to meet clients where they are while promoting confidence, routine, and healthy lifestyle habits. Monitor client participation, engagement, and safety during all activities. Maintain a structured, welcoming, and supportive group environment. Complete timely documentation and activity notes in accordance with organizational and applicable regulatory standards. Assist with setup, organization, sanitation, and maintenance of fitness equipment and wellness spaces. Collaborate with the Health & Wellness Supervisor and interdisciplinary treatment team to support client wellness goals. Follow all Health & Wellness Division policies, safety procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Promotion, Nutrition, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Recreation Therapy, Behavioral Health, or a related field. OR Bachelor's degree in another discipline with at least one year of experience in behavioral health, healthcare, human services, rehabilitation, fitness, or wellness programming. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading fitness, recreation, wellness, or therapeutic groups. Experience working with individuals experiencing serious mental illness, substance use disorders, or co-occurring conditions. Personal training, fitness coaching, health coaching, or wellness program experience. Certifications such as NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, ISSA, or similar fitness credentials. Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire). Why You'll Love This Role Help people improve both their physical and mental health. Schedule Full-time Eight-hour shifts scheduled between 8:30 AM and 7:30 PM Afternoons, evenings, and weekends as needed Physical Requirements Ability to stand and remain active throughout movement-based programming. Ability to demonstrate exercises and physical activities. Ability to lift and move fitness equipment up to 50 pounds. Ability to actively supervise groups while maintaining client safety.
