Weekend availability is required Overview Byers K9 Services is hiring a K9 Security Handler for a site in Superior, Colorado. This position requires a reliable and professional individual capable of working with a K9 in an active security environment. Weekend shifts are mandatory for this role, with additional hours available based on site needs, coverage, and special assignments. Responsibilities Conduct security patrols with K9 Monitor and control access to the site Perform detection sweeps as required Complete daily activity and incident reports Maintain control, care, and readiness of assigned K9 Follow all post orders and client-specific instructions Qualifications Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or K9 handling preferred Ability to handle and work a K9 safely and effectively Strong communication and situational awareness Ability to remain alert and professional during long shifts Reliable and punctual Preferred (not required): Existing trained K9 First Aid / CPR certification Familiarity with detection or patrol K9 work Additional Information Weekend availability is required (Saturday/Sunday) Additional hours may be available based on site needs Work may include nights, holidays, and varying weather conditions Join a team focused on professionalism, accountability, and high-level K9 operations.
