Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Community Prevention Educator to lead outreach and educational efforts aimed at reducing substance abuse and promoting healthy behaviors within underserved communities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in public health, social work, or related fields, with a passion for empowering individuals through education and prevention strategies. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by developing and delivering community-based programs that foster resilience and informed decision-making. SUMMARY Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates health education programs for group and community needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Conduct community assessments and collaborate with community professionals, groups, and other concerned citizens to identify health needs, develop measurable goals, implement and evaluate program design. Develop and maintain cooperation between public, private, professional, and voluntary agencies. Prepare and disseminate educational and information materials. Provide programming for schools, churches, industry, and community agencies. Provide training for other health professionals. Prepare all required reports. Other duties may be assigned. EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in education or community health from an accredited four-year college or university; or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Pay:
$51,370.08 - $56,599.14 per year
