Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Prevention Specialist and become a vital advocate for youth in the community. In this role, you will implement prevention programs aimed at reducing the risk that individuals will experience delinquency-related problems and promoting healthy lifestyles. Your expertise will empower individuals to make informed decisions about all areas of their lives. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through education, outreach, and personalized support. Responsibilities Deliver engaging prevention programs tailored to identified needs. Conduct assessments to identify community needs and develop strategies that promote healthy behaviors. Encourage positive lifestyle changes and overcome barriers. Provide education on topics such as drug and alcohol use prevention, life skills, anger management, parenting skills, and other topics as needed. Collaborate with educatiors, parents, and community partners to coordinate services and outreach efforts. Maintain detailed records of attendance, participation, and progress. Teaching evidence based curriculum in both individual and group settings. Skills Good communication skills for public speaking and teaching. Knowledge of classroom management strategies and behavior management strategies is a plus. Ability to adapt programming to meet client needs. Passion for working with children and families and fostering growth through programming. Familiarity with community outreach strategies and collaborative teamwork to maximize program reach. Pay:
$35,000.00 - $37,000.00 per year
