Wellness Associate at Berwick Area YMCA Berwick - YMCA - 4.5 Berwick, PA Job Details From $11.31 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Cleaning and sanitation procedure implementation Customer communication First Aid Certification AED Certification Full Job Description Under the guidance of the Wellness Director, a Wellness Associate is primarily responsible for ensuring the safety of YMCA members utilizing the Wellness Center areas. Provide fitness instruction to all members through scheduled orientations and ongoing opportunities to teach and reinforce updated exercise techniques and general fitness principles. Supervise the cleanliness and environmental comfort of the Wellness Center areas. Responsibilities Greet and assist members with basic questions on equipment use and functions Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment used in the Wellness Center areas Ensure the environmental comfort of the Wellness Center areas for members and guests Monitor age restrictions and dress code recommendations for members and guests Answer member questions about the YMCA and its programs Assists with equipment maintenance and repairs, as needed Attend all initial and ongoing trainings and monthly staff meetings Provide wellness orientations and fitness assessments Complete one-time tasks as assigned by the Wellness Director or any other director Cover shifts for other wellness employees as needed Qualifications Minimum age of 18 Valid Driver's License or photo ID, reliable transportation, and working phone number High school diploma or equivalent preferred Knowledge of proper cleaning protocols for the Wellness Center areas Working knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and safe exercise technique Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Have, or be in the process of obtaining CPR/AED, Basic First Aid.
