Duties Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and personal hygiene to promote comfort and dignity Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while adhering to HIPAA and state healthcare regulations Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; document findings meticulously using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner Support residents with specialized needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, or memory care for individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia Perform manual handling tasks safely during transfers and mobility assistance to prevent injury for residents and staff Maintain detailed medical documentation and records in compliance with healthcare standards and regulations Respond promptly to emergent situations with first aid or basic life support (CPR), ensuring resident safety at all times Requirements Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments with a focus on senior or geriatric patient care Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration procedures Certification in CPR and First Aid; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or EHR system proficiency are preferred Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks required for resident transfers and mobility support Familiarity with medical documentation practices using EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner Working knowledge of state Board of Nursing regulations, healthcare compliance standards, and medication protocols Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory impairments is highly valued Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and family members Join us in providing compassionate care that enhances the quality of life for our residents.
