Hours of Job 7 am- 30 hours per week Follow Emergency Staffing Guidelines. Duties and Key Responsibilities Works under the supervision of the Director of Emergency Services and other Registered Nursing Staff. Is responsible for assisting in the performance of delegated patient care activities, including activities of daily living and basic procedures, as well as identified competencies required in Emergency Services. Is responsible for performing the clerical and receptionist functions of the work area and other related technical and clinical support activities as directed by the RN. Monitors and records cardiac rhythms observed on cardiorespiratory monitoring equipment and reports abnormal findings to RN staff. Collaborates and interacts positively with the interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and achieve desired outcomes. May be required to work other shifts/units as needed. Performs other duties as assigned, including assisting with patient care. Requirements Basic clinical skills and clerical skills. Must successfully complete a course in basic ECG rhythm and recognition within 6 months of hire. Education/Certifications High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
Advanced degree in Medical Assistant Program or successful completion of at least one quarter or semester of clinical work in a health-related program with a grade of C or higher. Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA, EMT-B, or STNA preferred, not required.
Experience Required:
A minimum of one year's experience in an appropriate health care setting such as physician office, hospital, or clinic.

Two or more years' experience in an appropriate health care setting such as physician office, hospital, or clinic.
