Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Patient Care Assistants (PCA) and Patient Care Technicians (PCT) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Assist nursing staff with daily patient care activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature. Support patients with manual handling tasks while adhering to proper lifting and transfer methods to ensure safety for both patients and staff. Maintain strict patient confidentiality and uphold privacy standards in accordance with healthcare regulations. Operate medical equipment safely and efficiently, including EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for documentation of patient information. Support infection control protocols by practicing proper hand hygiene and cleaning procedures to prevent hospital-acquired infections. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding of care plans and patient needs. Skills Prior experience in Level II or Level I trauma centers is highly desirable, demonstrating the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments such as emergency medicine or trauma care. Strong knowledge of hospital medicine, emergency medicine procedures, and acute care practices. Experience working with geriatric patients or in geriatrics-focused settings is a plus. Proficiency in medical terminology and basic life support (BLS) certification to respond effectively during emergencies. Ability to perform patient transfer methods safely using appropriate techniques for different patient conditions. Familiarity with infection control standards within care facilities and outpatient clinics. Excellent caregiver communication skills to foster trust and comfort with diverse patient populations.
