To be discussed during interview. Position Summary The CNA/EMT is a dual-role position that promotes a team-based approach to patient care in both the prehospital and hospital settings.

In the prehospital environment, the CNA/EMT performs duties within their scope of practice under the direction of the EMS Coordinator and Medical Director, following all applicable EMS policies, protocols, and procedures.

Within the hospital setting, the CNA/EMT supports patient care by assisting with personal hygiene, activities of daily living, patient monitoring, and other assigned duties within their scope of practice under the direction of the Acute Care/ER Director of Nursing, EMS Coordinator, and unit supervisors. Essential FunctionsEMS Operations Operate and maintain ambulances in accordance with Wyoming State laws and Crook County Medical Services District (CCMSD) EMS policies and procedures. Assist with patient care in accordance with

policies, procedures, and approved scope of practice. Continuously assess personal abilities and limitations and request assistance when necessary to ensure safe patient care. Attend and participate in at least 80% of department meetings, required training, and in-service education. Maintain required certifications, licensure, continuing education, and recertification requirements. Pursue opportunities for professional growth and advancement in emergency medical services. Patient Care Responsibilities Assist patients with personal hygiene needs, including use of bedpans and urinals, bathing, grooming, shampooing, shaving, and toileting. Assist patients with activities of daily living, including meal service, feeding, ambulation, repositioning, transfers, and mobility assistance. Provide patient care within the CNA scope of practice as defined by the Wyoming Board of Nursing. Obtain and document vital signs, weights, intake and output measurements, and collect urine and fecal specimens as directed. Promote patient comfort by utilizing available resources, transporting patients, responding to call lights, and communicating patient needs and observations to the nursing staff. Accurately document care provided in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and complete required forms, reports, and logs. Professional Responsibilities Follow all CCMSD policies, procedures, and operational standards. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies. Serve and protect the CCMSD community by adhering to professional standards and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain current job knowledge through continuing education, professional publications, professional organizations, and licensure requirements. Contribute to the success of the Nursing Department, EMS Department, and CCMSD by accepting additional responsibilities and seeking opportunities for improvement. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum age of 21 years. Possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Maintain a driving record that meets CCMSD vehicle insurance requirements. Education and Certification RequirementsFor EMT Applicants Current National Registry EMT certification. Current Wyoming EMS license. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. PHTLS certification preferred. Complete

ICS 100, ICS

200, and ICS 700 within 30 days of hire. Enroll in a Wyoming CNA course and obtain Wyoming CNA licensure within 12 months of hire or by the first available class opportunity. Maintain Wyoming CNA licensure as required. For CNA Applicants Current Wyoming CNA license. Enroll in an approved EMT course and obtain Wyoming EMT licensure within 12 months of hire or by the first available class opportunity. Obtain and maintain National Registry EMT certification upon successful completion of the EMT course. Annual Requirements Maintain all required annual and biannual education and competency requirements, including but not limited to: OSHA training Approved Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC/CEVO) BLS recertification Department-specific competencies Any additional training required by CCMSD, Wyoming EMS, or the Wyoming Board of Nursing Experience Previous EMS, and or CNA, experience is required. A current license in one is required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated patient care skills. Ability to maintain professionalism and discretion at all times. Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to prioritize tasks and function effectively in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills and experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred. Work Schedule This position requires rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as needed to support patient care operations.

Pay:

$1,650.00 - $1,856.00 per week
