We envision a community where all adolescents in crisis have a safe place to stay, in an environment that promotes personal growth and healthy relationships. Casa Youth Shelter (CYS) provides immediate care, shelter, and mental health services to youth in crisis and their families. CYS provides 24/7 year-round emergency shelter care to youth ages 12 to 17 experiencing homelessness, abuse, and other crises. We provide counseling services to youth and their families facing a breakdown in family dynamics or other interpersonal crises. Our residential program includes 12 licensed beds in a homelike setting, daily home-cooked meals, professional counseling (individual, family and group), life skills lessons, tutoring, expressive therapies, parenting classes for the youth's parents, and case management services to assist with housing, food, employment, and educational needs. After exiting the shelter care program, clients receive aftercare counseling (individual and family) and continued access to parenting classes, a teen drop-in group, and case management services. We also provide counseling services (individual, family, and group) to the community. We welcome youth and their families regardless of where they are from or their family's income. Our primary catchment areas include cities throughout Orange and Los Angeles Counties where poverty and homelessness are prevalent. We are located in Los Alamitos, CA. We help children and families imagine and build a life of permanent safety and healing. The Role As the Clinical Supervisor at Casa Youth Shelter, you'll be responsible for cultivating safety and emotional well-being of the youth in Casa's care through oversite of the counseling team, ensuring that our counseling trainees are delivering the highest quality clinical services. The Clinical Supervisor must be a California-licensed LCSW with a minimum of two years licensed and a BBS licensed Supervisor. The Clinical Supervisor possesses the power to lead the organization into bold, yet sustainable, clinical programmatic territories that positively impact the lives of teens, their families, and members of the community. The Clinical Supervisor reports directly to the Clinical Director. The Clinical Supervisor will support the Clinical Director in supervising a passionate team of 8-10 counseling trainees and MSW interns to inspire them to develop into compassionate, skilled, grounded therapists. The Clinical Supervisor will also assist with presentations in the community that promotes Casa Youth Shelter's services. Details and Responsibilities Part-time hours (12-20 hours per week) Hybrid position; both in person at the shelter in Los Alamitos and virtual with some community presentations Passion and experience working with at-risk youth. Have in-depth knowledge and training in evidence-based treatments for youth and families, including: Crisis intervention Suicidal ideation Addiction program/substance use/abuse Case Management skills including identifying and finding resources and referrals Clinical Training and Supervision of the AMFT Counselors, MFT Trainees (Graduate Student Counselors), MSW Interns, and ACSWs. Clinical Supervision includes 1-hour Individual/Triadic Supervision per counselor/MSW intern A minimum of one 2-hour Group Supervision sessions each week. Overview of Clinical Staff casework. Responsible for reviewing all clinical files, incoming and outgoing client reports, as well as the termination of clinical cases. Will be available via phone if not on-site for consultations with the counseling trainees Monday - Friday. A skilled teacher possessing a willingness to instruct and guide emerging mental health professionals. Ensure adherence to State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences rules and regulations by all Clinical Staff. Assist in creating curriculum for current and new programs. Provide clinical training to counselors and CYS staff to best support delivery of services to CYS clients. Participate in outreach opportunities to promote Casa Youth Shelter's Services in the community Support Clinical Director with recruitment, selection, and training of new clinical staff. Report any suspected child abuse, elder abuse, or harm to self or others in accordance with mandated reporting laws. Support with effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams inside and outside of the agency if interns are unavailable Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence in working with diverse populations. Attend and assist with trainings during monthly staff meetings. Qualifications Graduated from an approved master's degree program in Social Work Must hold a valid California Licensed Clinical Social Worker license and have been licensed doing clinical work for a minimum of 2 years Ability to enter into a Supervisory Agreement per the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) within 90 days of the degree being posted. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with the Program and Counseling teams. Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards. Education and facilitation skills, or ability to learn those skills, to deliver Parenting Education Classes curriculum. Spanish speaking written, reading and oral communication preferred. Must be open to driving and providing services directly in the community as needed Compensation $40.00/hour rate Mileage Reimbursement for travel in the community 40 hours of annual sick time
