The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial electrical installations, renovations, and upgrades within active or new medical facilities. This role requires attention to detail, strict adherence to safety and code requirements, and the ability to work efficiently in highly regulated environments. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and electrical blueprints to accurately execute installation plans. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete electrical tasks on construction sites or industrial facilities. Test electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and ammeters to ensure proper functionality and compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, adhering strictly to safety protocols for each voltage level. Collaborate with construction teams including frame carpenters and other trades to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless integration of electrical components. Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and issues identified for future reference or compliance audits. Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrician Previous experience on hospital, medical, or healthcare facility projects required Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and installations Ability to read blueprints and technical documents Familiarity with NEC and applicable local electrical codes Experience working around: Emergency power systems Fire alarm systems Low-voltage and life safety systems Patient care areas and critical environments Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable transportation

$28.00 - $33.00 per hour
