Job Summary Thriving Audiology practice seeking a new team member to join our busy 2 office location. Looking for a dependable, caring and motivated candidate that is willing to learn and help provide excellent back office and front office support as needed for our patients. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by facilitating smooth financial interactions and promoting positive patient experiences. Qualifications Detailed, accurate self-starter that is able to multi-task in a busy work environment. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate efficiently and effectively with other team members. Good listening skills including patience and empathy to interact with patients in a courteous, respectful and professional manner. Well-developed skills in prioritizing, organizing and time management. Desire to learn new skills and interact with other team members to have a positive impact on our patient's lives. Prior experience in healthcare a plus, however not required. Responsibilities Verify patient insurance coverage, including deductibles and co-pays. Understanding and processing insurance explanations of benefits (EOBs). Scanning patient documentation. Reconciling day sheets and preparation of bank deposits. Assist patients with understanding their financial responsibilities, including copayments, deductibles, and payment plans. Answering phone and scheduling/rescheduling patients in electronic medical record. Greeting patients in a welcoming manner to make a positive first impression. Process payments, handle data entry tasks efficiently, and maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide exceptional service by addressing patient inquiries related to appointment, billing, insurance claims, and account status. Addressing voice mails and electronic communication timely on a daily basis. Maintining an organized work area. Knowledge of performing general office duties including scanning and digital faxing. On-going monitoring of schedule for efficient patient flow.
