Reports To:
TCHD Administrator Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of all the programs within the Clinic Division Monitor for compliance of rules, regulations, and timeframes for programs administered by the Clinical division and according to Illinois Department of Public Health, CDC, and other local, state, and federal program standards and guidelines Directly supervise and is responsible for assigning, directing, and evaluating the work of the Clinical Services staff Lead in the preparation, writing, and annual submittal of multiple grant requests for the Clinic Division Oversee the division grant budgets Establish and /or approve program priorities, procedures, and practices within the division. Serves as a leadership team member with other directors in establishing direction and leadership within the Department Attend professional meetings within and outside the county representing the Department at other agencies' meetings and on boards and advisory councils Provide direction and consultation in specialty nursing fields and interpret the implication for public health nursing practice: Control of communicable disease; Immunization of adults and children; Control of Sexually Transmitted Infections; preventive care services Implement nursing practice standards for assurance of clinical competency in service delivery; assume responsibility for clinical competence. Assure appropriate standing orders are up to date and signed by the Medical Director. Develop and monitor Medical Director's standing orders to assure staff is performing according to appropriate guidelines. Manage and develop appropriate clinical protocols Responsible for HIPAA compliance for the Department Plan and coordinate educational programs for clinical staff nurses, related professional workers and community groups to meet needs of personnel and practitioners Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing required. Two years program management experience, including planning, budgeting, and staffing required. Experience in public health, determinants of health, health equity, disparities, disproportionalities, and racial equity preferred. Board Certification in Public Health Nursing by American Nurses Credentialing Center must be obtained within 2 years of hire. Masters Degree in Nursing or Public Health preferred.
Salary:
