Job Description

Supervisor - Rehabilitation Services (Physical Therapist) Job Description Overview IU Health is looking for team members who are passionate about challenging and significant work for the good of every patient. This role is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to supervise the Rehabilitation Services department.

Full-time Requirements:
BLS Requires graduation from an accredited academic program in area of specialization, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology or audiology. Requires current State of Indiana license in area of specialization, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology or audiology. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. May require current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). May require a certificate of clinical competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASLHA) or eligibility for this certificate. May require a certificate of clinical competence in Audiology or eligibility for this certificate. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is preferred. Some leadership experience is preferred. Base knowledge of state and federal regulations is preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assists Rehabilitation leadership in planning, directing, and overall operations of Rehabilitation Services. Supervises programs and staff within Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or Audiology. Oversees the efficient use of personnel, equipment and supplies in accordance with budgetary requirements. Maintains continuity of care through appropriate distribution of personnel resources, participation in performance assessment and improvement. Acts as a resource to the department and other healthcare practitioners. Performs tasks and duties of the therapist as needed.
