Job Description

Under the direction of the CEO, the Hospital Administrator is responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of the facility, managing, and developing staff, ensuring high quality care, sound fiscal operations, maintaining a strong referral base, and compliance with CMS regulations, while continually monitoring the facility's services and delivery systems.
Job Duties:
Responsible for interpreting, supporting, and executing hospital and department policies, and procedures. Responsible for state reportable notifications. Creates a supportive team-oriented environment in which employees demonstrate the desire to work together for the common good of the organization and patients. Complies with local, state, and federal guidelines to provide excellent care to patients. Responsible for the community image and works to promote favorable public relationships. Works with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate accreditation and regulatory compliance. Oversees the day-to-day operations of the hospital ensuring efficient and high-quality medical service to patients. Leads the planning process to develop goals for the provision of quality care, employee retention, and financial performance.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Effective leadership skills and ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to maintain composure in difficult and complex communications with physicians and other professionals at all levels Ability to function independently and as a member of a cohesive team. Ability to apply sound principles of decision-making and problem-solving processes. Understanding of process improvement principles. Detail oriented and ability to be self-motivated to complete duties in a timely manner Effective ability to develop and analyze options, recommend solutions and to solve complex problems and issues Ability to prioritize workload. Must be an excellent communicator
Qualifications:
Education:
MBA or MHA preferred
Experience:
3-5 years' experience managing teams preferred. Preferably in a hospital environment.
Physical Requirements:
This position required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach overhead. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
