Job Description

Patient Care Coordinator About the Role As the first point of contact for our patients, the Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, professional, and supportive Medical experience. This role combines front office responsibilities with clinical support, ensuring that our patients receive exceptional service and our specialists have the administrative and operational support they need.
Key Responsibilities Patient Experience:
Be the friendly, professional face of the office—greeting patients, making them feel comfortable, and delivering a positive first impression.
Scheduling & Communication:
Manage patient scheduling, rescheduling, and follow-up appointments while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Insurance Verification:
Verify insurance benefits using approved scripts and maintain up-to-date records for billing purposes.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the Hearing Instrument Specialist to maintain accurate inventory of hearing aids, devices, and accessories.
Financial Processing:
Enter patient payments, manage financial transactions, and ensure accurate documentation.
Patient Records Management:
Close out appointments, update patient charts, and ensure all demographic and contact information (DOB, address, email, etc.) is accurate.
Repairs & Logistics:
Process and send out hearing aid repairs to manufacturers while keeping patients informed of timelines.
Office Support:
Contribute to the smooth daily operations of the practice by assisting with additional administrative or patient care tasks as needed. Qualifications & Skills Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; ability to make patients feel valued and respected. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Comfortable with technology, scheduling software, and electronic medical records. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also managing independent tasks. Previous experience in healthcare, audiology, or medical office administration preferred but not required.
