A. Position Summary The Clinical Director provides clinical leadership and oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for individuals with autism and related developmental disabilities. This role is responsible for supervising clinical caseloads, mentoring BCBAs and Registered Behavior Technicians, overseeing treatment planning and program implementation, and ensuring services meet the highest standards of clinical excellence, ethical practice, and compliance. The Clinical Director collaborates closely with families, clinical staff, and community partners while using data-driven decision-making to evaluate treatment effectiveness and develop individualized interventions that promote meaningful client outcomes. B. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical oversight for client programming by developing, reviewing, and analyzing treatment goals and behavioral data in collaboration with BCBAs and Program Supervisors using evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. Design, implement, and modify individualized behavior intervention plans utilizing ABA methodologies, including Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), Functional Analyses (FA), reinforcement strategies, prompting and fading, shaping, chaining, extinction, and generalization techniques. Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment recommendations, prepare clinical reports, and complete required documentation in a timely manner. Partner with families to provide education, guidance, and support, ensuring behavior intervention plans are implemented consistently across home, school, and community settings. Ensure the quality, integrity, and effectiveness of clinical services while maintaining compliance with BACB ethical standards, organizational policies, and all applicable state and federal regulations. Supervise, mentor, train, and support BCBAs and Registered Behavior Technicians through ongoing coaching, modeling, and professional development. This position may require additional duties and responsibilities not specifically listed above to support the continued growth and operational needs of Applebury Behavior Associates. The Clinical Director is required to maintain a minimum of 30 billable hours per week. This requirement must be met consistently while fulfilling all administrative, supervisory, and clinical responsibilities associated with the position. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans, support skill acquisition, reduce maladaptive behaviors, and implement appropriate client accommodations. Assist in coordinating client schedules, service delivery, and caseload management to ensure continuity of care. Attend IEP meetings, conduct school observations, and collaborate with educators, families, funding agencies, and other service providers to advocate for client success. Support referral management, payer communications, and other administrative and operational responsibilities as needed. C. Qualifications Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Special Education, Psychology, or a related field. Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification or an equivalent professional license recognized by the applicable licensing board. Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience providing ABA services to individuals with autism and related developmental disabilities. Demonstrated expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis, including assessment, treatment planning, behavior intervention strategies, instructional methodologies, and data-driven clinical decision-making. Thorough knowledge of BACB Ethics Code, applicable state and federal regulations, and best practices in behavior analytic services. Proven leadership, supervision, and mentoring experience with clinical teams, including BCBAs and Registered Behavior Technicians. Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and executive-level administrative skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and electronic health records (EHR) or ABA practice management software. D.
