Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for supporting patient needs. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will serve as a vital link between patients, medical staff, and insurance providers, ensuring seamless coordination of care and administrative support within our orthopedic practice. Duties Manage patient appointments, scheduling, and follow-up communications efficiently using patient management software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Serve as the primary point of contact for patients via phone and in person, providing exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and empathy. Assist with verifying insurance information, processing claims, and understanding health insurance policies to facilitate accurate billing and reimbursement. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with health regulation policies and privacy standards. Support medical staff with administrative tasks such as data entry, document preparation, and managing medical records with accuracy and attention to detail. Educate patients on treatment procedures, pre-appointment preparations, and post-treatment care instructions clearly and compassionately. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, office policies, and safety standards at all times. Experience Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare environment is highly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and communication purposes. Familiarity with medical terminology, electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), and patient management software is essential. Knowledge of health regulation policies, health insurance procedures, and maintaining patient confidentiality is required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and client interactions. Office experience involving administrative support tasks such as typing, data entry, and document management is advantageous. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while demonstrating professionalism at all times.
