JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting patients, accepting payments, data entry/record keeping, tracking data, ordering and stocking, outgoing and income mail, coordination with other support staff and providers, and light cleaning. All of our support staff are cross-trained to help in other areas as well.
QUALIFICATIONS
The Patient Care Coordinator is the face of our office, and that face being a warm, welcoming, happy, and knowledgable one is extremely important to us. Whether communicating on the phone or in person, the individual in this role needs to be able to earn trust, solve problems, accommodate needs, and encourage scheduling - ensuring our patients have the best possible experience. Personality and positivity are every bit as important to us as office skills! We have an amazing work culture and are not interested in hiring anyone who will harm our work family or patients with gossip, backbiting, or negativity. A personality test is required of all applicants invited to interview. High school graduate or equivalent Stable work history Excellent communication skills - absolutely essential Positive, outgoing, friendly demeanor - also absolutely essential Computer and office equipment proficiency Excellent time management and organizational skills Professional appearance Commitment to safeguarding protected health information At least one year previous medical/allied health
FRONT OFFICE
experience and familiarity with electronic health record systems strongly preferred Availability during all business hours except lunch break is critical Able to learn quickly to juggle many very important tasks Ability to contribute to a positive culture Commitment to helping us grow to serve more individuals with hearing and communication challenges
