What You'll Do Lead day-to-day clinical and operational performance of the Emergency Department. Develop, mentor, and coach nursing staff and frontline leaders. Partner with physicians to improve patient throughput, efficiency, and quality outcomes. Drive departmental performance related to patient flow, sepsis, stroke, patient satisfaction, safety, and operational metrics. Foster a culture built on accountability, teamwork, engagement, and professional growth. Oversee staffing, scheduling, budgeting, productivity, and performance management. Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Serve as a visible, hands-on leader supporting staff throughout daily operations. Qualifications/Required BSN Active RN license (or ability to obtain North Carolina licensure through Compact privileges) Minimum 7 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department leadership experience in a Supervisor, Assistant Manager, Manager, or similar leadership role Schedule Full-time leadership position day shift Approximately one weekend of on-call responsibility each month to provide staffing and operational support Benefits We believe exceptional leaders deserve exceptional support.
