- Program Lead - Hospital & Health System Consulting
- will support Hagerty's growing portfolio of work with hospitals, health systems, health centers, and other healthcare delivery organizations.
This role is intended for experienced healthcare professionals who bring expertise in one or more areas of hospital and health system operations, strategy, preparedness, workforce, or transformation. Engagements may include healthcare strategic planning, hospital emergency management and preparedness, training and exercises, Hospital Incident Command System (HICS), workforce development, operational and organizational assessments, value-based care and alternative payment models, enterprise system management, continuity and resilience, and broader healthcare transformation initiatives. - for an upcoming hospital and health system initiatives. Engagement is contingent upon successful contract award. This position is open to Independent Contractors (1099) only at this time; as such, a valid Employer Identification Number (EIN) will be required in order to be considered for this opportunity.
- Responsibilities for the Program Lead - Hospital & Health System Consulting Include
- :•+ Lead or support consulting engagements with hospitals, health systems, health centers, and healthcare delivery organizations in rural and urban environments.
+ Provide subject matter expertise in one or more healthcare practice areas, including hospital emergency management and preparedness, HICS, training and exercises, workforce development, healthcare operations, value-based care, enterprise system management, continuity, resilience, and system transformation.
+ Conduct organizational, operational, preparedness, workforce, and system assessments to identify gaps, risks, opportunities, and recommended improvements.
+ Support development and implementation of healthcare strategies, plans, programs, operating models, policies, procedures, and improvement initiatives.
+ Design and facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, executive sessions, trainings, tabletop exercises, functional exercises, and other client engagements.
+ Engage hospital executives, clinical leadership, emergency management, nursing, medical staff, operations, finance, human resources, quality, IT, and other organizational stakeholders.
+ Support healthcare emergency preparedness activities, including HICS, emergency operations planning, continuity planning, medical surge, infectious disease preparedness, exercises, and after-action/improvement planning.
+ Support healthcare transformation initiatives involving care delivery models, value-based care, operational efficiency, workforce sustainability, technology, data, and enterprise systems.
+ Translate federal and state healthcare requirements, funding priorities, industry standards, and leading practices into practical strategies and implementation approaches.
+ Develop high-quality client deliverables, including assessments, plans, reports, roadmaps, presentations, dashboards, training materials, and executive-level briefings.
+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and subject matter experts to deliver integrated solutions addressing complex healthcare challenges.
- Qualifications for the Program Lead -
Hospital & Health System Consulting Include:
- + Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, emergency management, nursing, medicine, business administration, or a related field.
+ 5-10+ years of professional experience in healthcare, public health, workforce development, or related consulting environments.
+ Demonstrated experience working with hospitals & health systems, critical access hospitals, FQHCs, community health centers.
+ Experience conducting workforce assessments, strategic planning, or program implementation.
+ Demonstrated expertise in at least one healthcare consulting area such as emergency preparedness, healthcare operations, workforce development, training and exercises, HICS, strategic planning, value-based care, continuity, enterprise systems, or healthcare transformation.
+ Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with executive leadership and cross-sector partners.
- Preferred Qualifications for the Program Lead -
Hospital & Health System Consulting Include:
- + Master's degree (MPH, MHA, MBA, MSN or related field).
+ CEM, CHEP, CHSP.
+ Experience with value-based care, alternative payment models, population health, care coordination, or payer-provider transformation.
+ Experience with hospital or health system operations, enterprise systems, organizational transformation, quality improvement, or performance improvement.
+ Experience supporting CMS, ASPR, CDC, HRSA, HHS, FEMA, state health departments, healthcare coalitions, or other federally/state-funded healthcare initiatives.
- Compensation for the Program Lead -
Hospital & Health System Consulting Includes:
- + Salary range of $75-$125/hr.
