This position will report directly to the CEO while working along side other Managers with the winery.
Manage all aspects of the winery tasting room to include opening, closing, staffing, bank handling, and overall front of the house operations. Helping to grow and maintain direct to consumer marketing channels through tasting room visitation and experiences.

Working with our WineClub Manager to help grow and maintain a successful wine club program through tasting room visitation and successful pickup weekends
Private Event Assistance
Working with our Events Manager and team to balance tasting room visitation with private events We are currently seeking the right person to help manage the Virginia operational sales and hospitality program to include the tasting room and tasting room staff with a goal of driving sales and tasting room growth.
The right candidate will be a self-motivated and energetic individual preferably with experience in tasting room operations and sales, consumer events, wine club, and hospitality. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a background in management and sales, a welcoming and warm demeanor, and a high level of personal and professional integrity. Knowledge of local Virginia wine industry preferred. Commerce7, Tock, or Toast winery software knowledge a plus. Social Media skills a bonus Paradise Springs Winery is the first bi-coastal winery operation in the United States. The winery was founded in 2007 in Clifton, Virginia and is the closest winery to Washington DC. Producing around 12,000 cases annually of Virginia grown wine. The Santa Barbara winemaking operation is located in Buellton, CA producing around 3,000 cases annually of Santa Barbara grown wine with a Tasting Room located in downtown Santa Barbara's "The Funk Zone". "The First Bi-Coastal Winery Brand in the Country. From East to West."
Ensuring that the tasting room and property is running efficiently to facilitate a great guest experience.
Daily operations of the property to include: opening, closing, wine tastings, bottle/glass sales, Wine Club sales, shipping orders, food ordering/prep, maintenance, ordering of supplies, restocking.
Supervise and perform hospitality functions which can include greeting guests, providing wine education, conducting consumer tours, and assisting staff with guest services.
Responsible for the development and implementation of staff training programs. Maintain open communication with all tasting room staff regarding winery policies, goals, procedures, events etc. Schedule and conduct regular staff meetings, tastings, and other events to enhance communication and teamwork.
Develop staffing schedule to ensure tasting room is adequately staffed at all times.
Conducting human resource responsibilities to recruit, hire, discipline or terminate tasting room staff as needed. This includes job postings, conducting interviews, following disciplinary procedures, providing coaching or training, and other activities as needed.
Maintain adequate inventory of wine and merchandise items. Monitor sales and make adjustments as needed using discount programs, new releases notices, promotions, and other effective sales tools.
Coordinate financial aspects of the tasting room which can include opening and closing of daily till, preparing weekly bank deposits and balancing bank deposits with daily register totals, maintaining adequate cash reserves in change box, and resolving errors in cash balances.
Controlling correspondence, such as emails and phone calls for general inquiries and events.

Possess intermediate computer skills which can include e-mail, excel, word processing, spreadsheet, basic database activity, social media, etc.
Knowledge of POS systems (preferably WineDirect) to be able to complete daily sales functions and being able to manage a Wine Club.
Expectations:

Requires lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university; or 2-3 years related experience or training related to winery, hospitality, and/or management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
